The college's plans include construction of a new teaching block, a restaurant for trainee chefs, a creative arts centre and sports hall.

The college also plans to overhaul current buildings on campus and change its exterior design.

Work on a consultation is underway with the planning application expected to be submitted in June.

Construction work is expected to commence in September 2011 with completion scheduled for late 2013.

The project is being funded through the college's reserves and commercial ventures.
