US-based Penn National Gaming has broken ground on a $400m Hollywood Casino, Columbus in Ohio, US.
Penn National Gaming will own and operate the Hollywood Casino while Smoot Construction which will manage the construction of the project.
The 27,871m² casino will feature up to 3,000 slot machines, 70 table games, a poker room with 30 tables, structured and surface parking and food and beverage amenities including an Epic Buffet, a Prime Cut Steakhouse and an entertainment lounge.
The project is scheduled to open in late 2012.
The consent for the casino was secured from Ohio voters in November 2009, as reported in Other.
