Global search engine giant Google has announced plans for the construction of its new green offices in Mountain View, California, US.

Germany-based Ingenhoven Architects has been contracted to design the environmentally friendly office.

Google has leased a 9.4-acre plot of land for $30m to construct the new office.

Construction on the new office, expected to be built over an area of 600,000m², is expected to begin in 2012.

The company has announced its intention to construct the most sustainable building possible.
