US-based developer Boston Properties has announced the resumption of the work on its planned $1.05bn office building in Midtown Manhattan, New York, US.
The 39-storey building has been designed by the global architecture firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill
The company’s incremental cost to complete the project is expected to be approximately $400m.
Excavation, foundation and construction of the building to grade level has been conmpleted and the company has fabricated all of the structural steel to complete the tower and stored that steel as well as portions of the curtain wall parts.
The building features a two-storey podium with a landscaped roof on the third floor and floor-to-floor height is 14ft.
The facility, which has received LEED Gold pre-certification, is expected to open in early 2014.
