UK Shopping Centre to Undergo £500m Expansion

Developer Westfield has secured planning permission for a £500m expansion project for Broadmarsh shopping centre in Nottingham, UK. The shopping centre is owned by a joint venture of Westfield and the Royal Mall Pension Fund. The expansion will increase the size of the mall

Developer Westfield has secured planning permission for a £500m expansion project for Broadmarsh shopping centre in Nottingham, UK.

The shopping centre is owned by a joint venture of Westfield and the Royal Mall Pension Fund.

The expansion will increase the size of the mall from 44,000m² to 120,000m².

The new space will house two department stores, a supermarket, shop units, financial and professional services and a food court.

Westfield will also construct a transport interchange consisting of a new bus station, tram stop and multistorey car parks.
