Construction of the Lotte Super Tower, slated to be one of the world’s tallest buildings post completion, will commence on 4 June 2011 in Seoul, South Korea.
The tower has been designed by architecture firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.
The building will require a foundation with a width and length of 72m and a height equivalent to a two-storey building.
The skyscraper will be constructed using state-of-the-art technology including wind- and earthquake-resistant designs.
Ground construction of the building is slated to begin in early 2012, after completion of underground work.
