The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) in the UK has announced the completion of work on transport facilities at Stratford station in preparation for the Olympic Games.

Work at Stratford station included the construction of a new Central line platform, which allows speedy boarding and alighting, and a new mezzanine entrance and ticket hall.

ODA also funded the installation of nine new lifts and nine new stairs, integration of security, life safety and customer information systems, and platform de-cluttering and reopening of the eastern subway.

Improvement work at Stratford station is part of a £6.5bn transport improvement package.
