The Gateway Center is a $40m three-storey V-shaped building, with a total area of 6,500m².
The building houses classrooms, seminar rooms, a lecture hall, computer labs and language labs.
Sustainable building elements in the facility include the recycling of construction waste, sustainable storm water management, use of low-mercury light bulbs and indoor air quality monitoring.
The building was designed by Ennead Architects.
The facility features a structural steel framing system, masonry and cold metal framing exterior wall with a field applied vapour barrier.
Other design elements include an architectural stone cladding façade and a glass curtain wall.
