Tremco, a US-based construction firm, has completed work on a green renovation programme at its headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, US.
The 40-year-old facility is now expected to receive LEED Gold certification.
The building has been equipped with four types of sustainable roofing systems, including a vegetated roof with 16,000 plants, a Rock-It roof surfacing system, a thin-film module rooftop PV system and a white, reflective TPA membrane.
The facility was also fitted with high-performance, double-pane tinted windows that exceed minimum energy-saving standards.
The campus was provided with new sidewalks with decorative concrete from Increte Systems, supported by recycled gravel.
The exterior wall consists of the Dryvit Outsulation Plus MD system featuring Dryvit’s TerraNeo finish that provides an energy efficient and insulated façade.
The entire construction was a zero landfill process with materials being recycled, reused or burned for energy instead of being sent to landfill.
