US natural gas supplier IGS Energy has secured LEED Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council for its new headquarters building located in Dublin, Ohio, US.

The project incorporated several green features and was built to meet stringent criteria in six areas of sustainability.

The structure consumes minimal energy owing to the use of advanced glass, sensor-controlled lighting and an efficient HVAC system.

The building was constructed using materials containing the requisite amount of recycled content.

The design team included Bird Houk as lead architect, Prater Engineering as mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers, EMH&T as civil engineers and Jezerinac Geers as structural engineers.
