Cantos Music Foundation has unveiled the designs of the $136m National Music Centre to be constructed in Calgary, Canada.
The facility has been designed by US-based Allied Works Architecture.
The 41,000m² facility will house a music hall of fame, several galleries, performance spaces, recording and artist-in-residence studios and a radio studio.
The body of the building will be formed by 11 towers.
Tile-clad concrete walls of the building will rise in subtle curves that merge, part and intertwine modelled by light, gravity and acoustics.
A total of C$81m has been raised for the facility with federal, provincial and local governments pledging C$75m and private sources pledging C$6m.
The National Music Centre is scheduled to open in 2014.
