The Western Australia State Government has appointed Cox Howlett and Bailey Woodland to design a $54.8m police and justice complex in Carnarvon, Australia.
The building will accommodate courts, a community justice centre, a police station and a shared custody facility.
Cox Howlett and Bailey Woodland will partner with local firm Paterson Group Architects for the design of the complex.
The tender was awarded after an evaluation of five bids by the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Building Management and Works division.
The complex’s final designs are expected by the end of 2011 while construction is slated to begin in January 2013 and be completed by October 2014.
