The Belgian capital of Brussels is to invite tenders for Neo Brussels, a €900m mixed-use development.

The master plan for Neo Brussels was developed by Rotterdam-based architects KCAP, while Arup advised on infrastructure and planning.

Neo Brussels will house a shopping centre, leisure venues, a convention centre and a residential component spread over a 300,000m² plot.

The first phase of the project, slated to begin in 2014, will include the convention centre and a 70,000m² GLA shopping centre along with 9,000m² of restaurants and leisure facilities.
