International architecture company Henning Larsen Architects has won a competition to design the reconstruction of Siemens’ headquarters in Munich, Germany.
Construction of the new company headquarters is scheduled to begin in late 2012.
The new company headquarters aims to meet the highest standards for eco-friendliness and energy efficiency, incorporating energy-efficient building technologies and lighting systems, as well as renewable energies like photovoltaic systems.
The interior design will provide a modern, flexible working environment for up to 1,200 employees of the company’s corporate units, and its new infrastructure and cities sector.
Completion of the building is scheduled by the end of 2015 and occupation is set for 2016.
