Redrow Homes has unveiled a £50m redevelopment scheme for English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers that will include the construction of a new training academy.

Redrow has also purchased the club’s ground – Compton Park – and will build 55 four and five-bedroom luxury houses on the site.

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC will expand its existing training facilities to include a new £6m complex incorporating indoor and floodlit football pitches on a site currently occupied by a school.

The school will occupy buildings on the Compton Park site.
