Enfield Council has unveiled plans for the £1.3bn redevelopment of a 90ha site called Meridian Water to construct homes, shops, amenities and transport links in Edmonton, London, UK.

Plans call for the construction of nearly 5,000 homes and are expected to create around 3,000 jobs.

The project will include three schools, health centres, parks and open spaces, and a police station, according to enfieldindependent.co.uk.

The scheme builds on Network Rail’s plans for a new track through Enfield and Haringey to increase the frequency of trains.
