Construction has begun on the $250m Emory Point mixed-use development in Atlanta, US.

The integrated project is being built by developer Cousins Properties in collaboration with Gables Residential.

The $100m first phase of the development, which will include 80,000ft² of retail space and 443 luxury apartments, is expected to be complete next year.

The retail portions of the development site have been designed to meet EarthCraft green building standards.
