Developer AXA Real Estate has received planning consent from Manchester City Council for a proposed £50m office scheme in Manchester, UK.

UK-based practice Squire and Partners has designed the new 12-storey office scheme, which will feature a palazzo-style façade with copper trimmings.

The new 108,000ft² structure is expected to replace the existing 40,000ft² building.

Axa Real Estate manages the property on behalf of the Co-operative Insurance Society, which owns the building, reports menmedia.co.uk.
