Global engineering services group Aurecon has secured a 5 Star Green Star SA from the Green Building Council of South Africa for the design of its new four-storey office building being developed in Cape Town, South Africa.

The R130m ($19.2m) building was designed by Mac Architects, while Aurecon provided engineering services for the project.

It has been developed by the Rabie Property Group through project finance secured from Nedbank Corporate Property Finance.

The project, sited on a podium covering a naturally ventilated semi-basement of covered parking, is equipped with energy and water efficiency measures.

The building is expected to be complete by the end of July, reports sacommercialpropnews.co.za.
