BAM to Construct Imperial Tobacco Headquarters in UK

BAM Construction has signed an agreement with Imperial Tobacco to build its new £12m corporate headquarters in Bristol, UK. The designers for the 83,000ft² building include architects AWW, structural engineers Fairhurst and Hoare Lea for mechanical and electrical services.

The designers for the 83,000ft² building include architects AWW, structural engineers Fairhurst and Hoare Lea for mechanical and electrical services.

BAM will build a four-storey concrete framed building replacing the existing factory units with a zinc-clad façade, and extensive glazing and curtain walling.

Demolition of existing factory units is now underway ahead of construction, which is due to start in September 2011.
