BAM Construct has secured a £13m contract from Stafford College, UK, to rebuild facilities destroyed by fire.

The site of the college’s workshops has been largely unusable since an electrical fire swept through the upper part of the building, damaging a print room, classrooms and a library space.

The project will provide kitchens for hospitality students as well as new premises for the campus restaurant; it also includes a beauty salon, which will be open to the public, and a learning resource centre to provide library and other information facilities.

Completion of the project is expected during the summer of 2012.
