Canary Wharf Group is planning to build a 500,000ft² tower at 25 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, in London.
The construction work on 25 Churchill Place is expected to begin in the final quarter of 2011. The architects for the tower are Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates.
The tower’s design includes environmental features including elevators that store and reuse energy elsewhere in the building, efficient air-conditioning equipment that recycles the energy from exhaust air and photovoltaic cells to generate solar energy.
The building will also have a green roof to enhance biodiversity and energy efficiency, and is designed to achieve an BREEAM Excellent rating and an Energy Performance Certificate rating of 40 or better.
