Apple and the city of Cupertino in California, US, have revealed the details of the company’s new headquarters.
The 2.8-million-square-foot circular spaceship-like building will be four stories tall, with two basement levels of parking and a 58,050ft² restaurant on the first floor.
In addition to the main building, an additional round building will house a 1,000-seat auditorium and a two-storey, 25,000ft² fitness centre.
There will be a four-level parking garage adjacent to the freeway, which will provide 4,300 additional parking spaces to the 4,600 spaces in the main building.
The company plans to move into the new building, which will house 12,000 employees, in 2015.
Apple’s proposal for the new campus is currently under review by the city of Cupertino and the company plans to break ground on the 175-acre campus next year.
