College of Lake County (CLC) officials has approved construction of a planned $23.5m science building on the Grayslake main campus in Illinois, US

The entire $23.5m project will span nearly 70,000ft² and the new construction would cover 42,568ft², with the balance involving renovation of an existing science area.

The new science building features laboratories for microbiology, chemistry, engineering and organic instruments.

The construction work of the project is expected to start in January 2012 and completed by 1 June 2015.
