Stuart Olson Dominion wins two building contracts in Canada

Stuart Olson Dominion Construction, a unit of the Churchill Corporation, has received new contracts in Manitoba and British Columbia. The $98m contract in British Columbia, is to build a 400,000ft², 25-storey office tower. It will include three storeys of retail and services.

The building is being developed by Bentall Kennedy on behalf of the British Columbia Investment Management.

The company is expecting to begin the construction in March 2012, with completion scheduled for April 2015.

Stuart Olson Dominion has also been appointed as construction manager of a $60m project for the University of Manitoba.

The project includes renovation of Tache Hall, a 100-year-old, four-storey building. Stuart Olson Dominion will also demolish the interior Tache Hall wings and gymnasiums, and add a two-storey auditorium on its south-west side.

Construction work is slated to start in October 2011 and be completed by July 2014.
