Glavbolgarstroy and Arcon Constructions have secured a contract to develop the planned $70m Sofia Ring Mall, a new shopping mall project in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
The contractors will be involved in phase one, and be responsible for the excavations, concrete works and complete rough construction of the project by 2012.
Located on the south side of a ring road, the 775,000ft² project includes a 9,000m² hypermarket, a DIY store and a cinema.
Sofia Ring Mall is directly connected with IKEA’s first hypermarket in Bulgaria through a pedestrian connection and a common underground parking facility.
Sofia Ring Mall will issue a second tender for the selection of a company to carry out the finishing works.
The project’s main investors are Danaos Development and the Fourlis Group. The opening is planned for 2013.
