Freiberger begins Berlin urban regeneration project

Freiberger Holding is beginning a €300m urban quarter regeneration project in Berlin, Germany.

The company has plans for 110,000m² of high-quality apartments with roof terraces and offices, a four-star hotel, and a market and exhibition hall.

Berlin architects Patzschke & Partners will be responsible for the first phase of the redesign of the former Charite clinic buildings and the Simon-Palais into apartments.

The redevelopment project, named Forum Museumsinsel, is due to complete in 2014.
