The Victoria Transport Interchange project (VTI 2) at Victoria station in London has been given the go-ahead by Westminster City Council.

The design of three buildings and public space was masterminded by KPF Associates, which will make up a complex comprising six buildings containing housing, office spaces, shops, restaurants and a public library.

Benson Benson + Forsyth and Lynch Architects are responsible for two other buildings.

The scheme developed for Land Securities was heard by Alistair Moss' Planning Committee. According to KPF, all five members of the committee were unanimous in their praise for the "innovative and exciting world-class architecture".

Land Securities has also developed the Cardinal Place mixed-use development on Victoria Street, designed by EPR Architects.
