Peter Zumthor has unveiled plans for his first UK project.
The newly announced Pritzker Prize winner for 2009, the Swiss architect has designed a modernist building in stone and glass near the village of Chivelstone in Devon, England.
The building will be part of the Living Architecture initiative, to create pieces of modern architecture which are available to the general public.
Planning approval for Zumthor’s design is expected to be received in May.
