Vancouver Convention Centre Shortlisted for Award

The Vancouver Convention Centre expansion by Glotman Simpson is one of the designs shortlisted in the Institution of Structural Engineers 2009 Awards. The designs have to prove sucessful on the grounds of buildability, creativity, excellence, innovation, sustainability and value.

The designs have to prove sucessful on the grounds of buildability, creativity, excellence, innovation, sustainability and value.

Glotman Simpson's Vancouver Convention Centre, a Gold LEED Certification aspirant, combines glass, wood and steel under an expansive green roof.

The architect's use of building information modelling and Tekla software, made the centre eligible for shortlisting for this award.
