The UK's Co-Operative Group has shortlisted four contractors to build its £95m Headquarters in Manchester, England.
Construction companies Laing O'Rourke, BAM Construct, Robert McAlpine and Bovis Lend Lease have been selected for the first phase of a regeneration scheme.
The 16-storey, 320,000ft², located in the city's Northern Gateway area, will feature an atrium in the centre of the building.
Designed by 3D Reid with a consultant team that includes Buro Happold and Gardiner & Theobald, the new headquarters will be a mixed-use office, commercial and residential facility.
Work will commence in 2010 and is scheduled to be complete in 2012.
