CZWG, in collaboration with Foster Wilson Architects, is set to design a mixed-use cultural scheme in Southampton, UK, for developer Grosvenor.
The project had previously been developed by Glenn Howells Architects and Assael Architects for developer City Lofts.
The revised plan offers 7,500m² of space for an auditorium, studios and performance area and will house 20 luxury apartments, few restaurants and shops.
Art space on the ground floor will be relocated to the first floor so that the building’s front can be occupied by restaurants and cafés.
The building is awaiting a formal council decision on the allocation of funds and the confirmation of £5.7m in lottery funding in November.
