The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) has raised concerns over the design of the £193m Birmingham Central Library in England. CABE has urged Birmingham City Council to lock down details and asked for a detailed design to be furnished in the planning applicatio

The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) has raised concerns over the design of the £193m Birmingham Central Library in England.

CABE has urged Birmingham City Council to lock down details and asked for a detailed design to be furnished in the planning application.

Other points that CABE pointed out as faults in design included overlapping steel rings, reduction in structures height and loss of library space and interior circulation spaces or rotunda.
