UK practice Broadway Malyan has secured planning permission to develop an 18-storey office development in Liverpool, UK.

The £70m scheme will serve as the new office for the UK Ministry of Justice, and is being developed by 30 Pall Mall, an Irish joint venture company.

The tower features two office blocks in an area of 22,110m² and is connected by a glazed courtyard and houses 165 car parking spaces in the basement.

The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) has, however, slammed the design for the height and positioning of public space in the centre.
