UK architecture firm RMJM has designed the 160m-tall Capital Gate tower in Abu Dhabi, Dubai.

The tower, dubbed Abu Dhabi's leaning tower, leans at an angle of 18°, 14° more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy.

The tower will house the Hyatt hotel and features 189 rooms, office space and a cantilevered tea house.

The tower is constructed on a concrete raft with a steel diagrid placed on 490 piles that have been drilled 30m underground.

Capital Gate tower is part of the £1.3bn Capital City development project for business and residential complexes.
