Indian architectural practice Edifice Architects has designed the 50,000m² headquarters for Reliance Energy in Mumbai, India.

The building is located on a five-acre site and offers protection to trees that are centrally located on site.

The design features a green undulating plane on the north-east corner that features multipurpose halls, art galleries, visitor meeting rooms and a gymnasium.

The 24m-deep linear floor plate functions as primary work spaces, while a wedge-shaped atrium opens out to the south plaza entrance and is linked to the street.

Work floors are placed outwards allowing natural light and shade on the external side.

An open-air private garden will be suspended in the atrium at the top level for management.

Reliance Energy is the largest private power utility company based in India.
