UK architectural firm Squire & Partners has unveiled the design for a new cylindrical hotel to be built in Hoxton, East London.

The 18-storey hotel tower features 350 rooms and will be covered with anodised aluminium and perforated with rectangles.

A planning application has been submitted to Hackney Council this week.

The scheme has been criticised by the Victorian Society for being too commercial.
