The Commission for Architecture and Built Environment (CABE) has shown support for the reworked proposals for the £135m British Museum extension in London.
CABE praised the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners original design, rejected by Camden Council in July.
The reworked proposals will include five pavilions, including an underground pavilion.
CABE says the plans showed seamless resolution of conflict between the existing building and the extension and improvement of circulation spaces.
However, CABE said that a detailed design of the elevation onto Montague Place could be improved.
