International architecture practice HKR Architects has unveiled designs for its proposed mixed-use office and hotel development on Great Ancoats Street and Pollard Street in Manchester, UK.

The scheme has been submitted for a hybrid planning application and is expected to be presented before the planning committee next week.

The submitted master plan details designs for the hotel and office, and part of the outline for a second commercial phase.

The master plan involves areas near the site, which is located next to Islington Wharf, New Islington and the Albion Works developments.

The design of the Pollard Street scheme has been inspired by remnants of 'Cottonopolis', the industrial part of Ancoats and Manchester.
