The 15,500m² scheme features public space around the perimetre and two-way visibility between the street and the interior.

The purpose-built facility will incorporate the highest environmental standards in the design, with a focus on the quality of the indoor environment.

ABC Studios and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra will relocate to the new facility by 2012.

The previous headquarters of ABC studios at Toowong was abandoned in December 2006 following staff health and safety concerns.
