James Park Refurbishes Taj Mahal Palace

James Park Associates has refurbished a large part of the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai, India, which was damaged in 2008's terrorist attacks. The practice was commissioned by Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces to undertake the multi-million-pound refurbishment. Refurbis

James Park Associates has refurbished a large part of the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai, India, which was damaged in 2008's terrorist attacks.

The practice was commissioned by Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces to undertake the multi-million-pound refurbishment.

Refurbishment and renovation works were conducted in Heritage Wing public areas, Heritage Wing standard rooms and executive suites, lobby and reception and four unique Heritage theme suites while soft refurbishment works were employed in the main lobby of the Tower Wing.

Work has also been carried out on the grand staircase and central dome, the Aquarius Lounge and pool side, the Palace Lounge and the main lobby.

Four themed suites: the Ravi Shankar Suite, the Rajput Suite, the Gateway Suite and the Seagull Penthouse are expected to be unveiled this year.
