NVA's Angus Farquhar has planned to make a human light installation to transform Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh to commemorate the 2012 Olympic Games.

Arthur's Seat is the main peak of the group of hills in Edinburgh.

The endeavour, called The Speed of Light will use a human-powered lighting system.

Participants will be provided with colour coded equipment to create flowing patterns of light as they climb the hill.

The proposed light installation will coincide with the Edinburgh International Festival, which will begin after the Olympics.

Farquhar has secured funding for the project and is seeking further assistance.

NVA is an environmental arts charity based in Glasgow, founded by Angus Farquhar.
