Kobi Karp has submitted his design for the 160-storey Miapolis scheme, dubbed the city within a city, planned for Watson Island in Florida.

The developer is seeking Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval for the height of the building, which is 183m taller than the Burj Khalifa.

The decade-old master plan will house an amusement park, an observatory, restaurants, 1.96 million square feet of commercial space, over 1,000 apartments, one million square feet of office space and a 792-room hotel.

The project is currently seeking funding.
