The Gensler-designed Los Angeles skyscraper that houses The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences and JW Marriott has been unveiled.
The 5.6 million square foot tower is located at LA LIVE in Los Angeles, US and is the first skyscraper built in downtown Los Angeles in two decades.
The sustainable LEED project is pursuing Gold-level certification.
The building features 22 JW Marriott, Los Angeles at LA LIVE floors at the bottom, followed by four floors of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Los Angeles and the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA LIVE at the top.
Gensler colloborated with structural engineer Nabih Youssef & Associates to create an innovative performance-based design to withstand seismic tremors.
