The final 30-year plan for Greater Adelaide has been unveiled recently.
DASH Architects director Jason Schultz said the plan’s creation was positive for the city despite bordering on populism.
Schultz said the detail for public transport and infrastructure provision was all a bit vague and ran the risk of creating disenfranchised communities with little or no access to services and public transport.
“There is also scope for conflict between how the plan promotes urban consolidation and its heritage commitments. Also the plan is ‘deliberately vague’ on how these two principles will combine,” he said.
