Designs have been unveiled for a proposed redevelopment of Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington, US.
The council is expected to award the contract to Mortenson Construction this month, according to local media.
The $30m renovation will include a three-storey grandstand with a wood-and-glass façade with timbered sidings and stunted roof overhangs.
The design will add new amenities, including 1,000 new field-level bleacher and outfield berm seats. Construction is expected to begin later in 2010.
Populous and Tacoma-based Belay Architecture were the two other finalists for the project.
