The Science Museum in London is set to launch a competition to design two new gallery spaces for the museum.

The £25m ($37m) treasury galleries will be housed in the central block of the museum.

The museum received £346,000 ($519,899) from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the project, which will begin a procurement process this year.

The galleries are part of the first phase of the £100m ($150m) master plan for the Museum of the Future redevelopment scheme.

The master plan for redevelopment was created by Wilkinson Eyre Architects.
