Studio RHE has submitted design plans for the new Eco-tower, SilverTree, which will be located in London, UK.
The designs have been submitted to the Borough of Newham Council, and is part of a programme to redevelop one of London’s poorest boroughs.
The tower will have 161 residential units with a communal landscaped open deck on the first floor, while the lower levels will provide commercial offices, retail and cafes.
The slender 24-storey building is clad in coloured panels on two sides, while the third side exposes green plantations enclosing terraces and balconies.
SilverTree’s façade features curved aluminium bands that provide solar and wind protection while producing electricity for the building’s use.
A central biomass energy centre and grounded heat pumps built into the foundations provide renewable energy.
