ANTA Submits Plans for Stalled Edinburgh Scheme

An alternative design plan for the stalled £300m ($472m) Caltongate scheme in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, has been submitted by ANTA Architecture, The firm's controversial independent design proposal for the 3.5ha scheme will include arcades and other architectural elements.

The firm's controversial independent design proposal for the 3.5ha scheme will include arcades and other architectural elements.

ANTA said it was open to collaboration with any partners to provide an appropriate solution for the site.

The City of Edinburgh Council is set to announce a development partner for the site soon, according to architectsjournal.co.uk.

Developers Allied London, British Land and Grosvenor are bidding for the scheme.

The original scheme was designed by Allan Murray with CDA, RHWL Page / Park, Malcolm Fraser and Zone Architects, while Mountgrange Capital were the developers.
