Plans have been announced to build a proposed $80m campus for the Bezalel School of Arts and Design in downtown Jerusalem.
The campus has been designed by Turkish-German firm Studyo Architects, which won the design competition in 2007 beating 188 entries.
The campus will comprise 40,000m² of functional space incorporating traditional Jerusalem elements of courts, gardens, roofscape and screen façades, according to jewishjournal.com.
Construction will begin in 2011 and be complete by 2015.
The existing arts school is housed on Mount Scopus and was designed by local architect David Reznick 20 years ago.
